Ford Transit Truck Rams Police Car in Stockwell Chase

Chaos hit Stockwell on Friday morning when a yellow and black Ford Transit tipper truck refused to stop for police and slammed into their patrol car. The shocking smash happened around 10:50am on Landor Road.

Truck Reverses at Speed, Smashes Police Car

Officers in a marked police vehicle signalled the lorry to pull over due to reckless driving and visible damage. Instead of stopping, the truck reversed rapidly, crashing hard into the police car’s bonnet, causing severe damage.

One officer suffered head and hand injuries, requiring hospital treatment but has since been discharged. A second officer was checked by paramedics on scene.

Suspect Truck Flees, Hunt Underway

Following the collision, cops launched a search but failed to locate the fleeing vehicle. The truck is described as yellow and black, with a damaged side mirror. The suspected registration is FA04 UZW, though the rear plate is missing the ‘F’.

Police are urging anyone who spots the vehicle to dial 999 immediately. Witnesses or those with info on the truck’s whereabouts or drivers are asked to call 101 quoting reference 2376/15APR, or provide anonymous tips via 0800 555 111.
