Pensioner Dies following Fatal Collision in Bournemouth

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a fatal collision in Bournemouth. At around 5pm on Wednesday 23 November 2016 a road traffic collision occurred in New Road close to the Northbourne roundabout involving a pedestrian and a brown Honda Jazz. The pedestrian – a local 84-year-old-woman – was taken to Poole Hospital but sadly died yesterday evening, Friday 25 November 2016, as a result of her injuries. Her next of kin have been informed and the coroner has been notified. The driver of the Honda – a 79-year-old woman from Ferndown – was not injured. Police Sergeant Joe Pardey, of the Alliance Road Policing Team, said: “I am still appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision and has yet to speak to officers to please contact Dorset Police.” Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email [email protected] or by calling 101, quoting incident number 23:303.
