A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 7.48am yesterday (2 March) to reports of a person in the water near Woolwich Arsenal Pier, SE18. We sent an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a car, an incident response officer and our Hazardous Area Response Team to the scene. We treated a patient at the scene and took him to hospital.”
