A person has been rushed to hospital after being found in the River Thames near Woolwich Arsenal Pier.

Paramedics sprang into action at 7.48am on Monday, March 2, following reports of someone in the water. An ambulance crew, a paramedic in a car, an incident response officer, and the Hazardous Area Response Team were scrambled to the scene immediately.
Patient Stabilised Before Hospital Transfer
Rescue teams gave urgent treatment right by the river before speeding the individual to hospital for further care.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 7.48am yesterday (2 March) to reports of a person in the water near Woolwich Arsenal Pier, SE18. We sent an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a car, an incident response officer and our Hazardous Area Response Team to the scene. We treated a patient at the scene and took him to hospital.”
