Police appeal after Woman attacked by Dog on Ryde Beach
Police on the Isle of Wight are appealing for witnesses after a woman was attacked and bitten by a dog in Ryde. The woman was walking her Chihuahua along Appley Walk, close to Appley Tower, and passed a dog that looked like a Boxer breed, which was tethered to a pole. As she walked passed the tethered dog, at around 3.30pm on on Monday <a class="wpil_keyword_link uknip-broken-link" href="https://uknip.co.uk/news/uk/tag/FebruaryFebruary 15, it was able to break free and took hold of the Chihuahua in its mouth. The woman immediately went to retrieve her dog and suffered a bite to her lip. Her Chihuahua suffered no lasting injuries. The dog is described as being brindle in colour, was tethered to a blue/red lead and wearing a black collar. Police Constable Dave Hughes said: “Where you at Appley Tower at the time of the incident?
