Officers from Hampshire Constabulary are appealing for witnesses to an aggravated burglary which took place in Totton. The incident took place at around 12.35pm on Wednesday 30 January, when it was reported that threats were made to the occupants of a house on Downs Park Avenue by a man who stole a wallet and handbag from inside. Following the incident, the man left the house and walked down a gravel walkway at the bottom of Downs Park Avenue, which leads to an area of marshland known as Bartley Water. Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed something, or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area around this time. A 28-year-old man from Totton has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and remains in custody at this time.
