Police appeal for Witnesses following Fatal Collision after Motorcyclist is Killed in West Meon

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision near West Meon. Road Policing Officers from Whitchurch were called at 1.26pm at Sunday 14 January to the A272, near the junction with Stocks Lane, following a report of a single vehicle collision involving a green Kawasaki motorcycle. The rider, a 40-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next-of-kin have been notified. No other injuries have been reported. Collision investigators do not believe any other vehicles were involved at this time. Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the collision. Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed what happened, or anyone who thinks they saw the motorbike prior to the collision. Part of the A272 is remains currently closed and diversions are in place. Police have thank motorists for their patience whilst they carry out their investigations into the incident.
