Merseyside Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious road collision took place in Old Swan, Liverpool, earlier today, Saturday, 7 September. The incident involved a skip hire truck and a male pedestrian at the junction of St Oswald’s Street and Prescot Road.
The pedestrian, a man in his 70s, suffered serious injuries and was quickly transported to the hospital. His condition is described as serious but not life-threatening.
The police are particularly interested in obtaining any CCTV or dashcam footage that may have captured the incident. Local businesses are being asked to review their security camera recordings, and drivers who were in the area are urged to check their dashcams.
Any help we receive, no matter how insignificant it may seem, can assist our investigation,” added Chief Inspector Hughes.
Anyone with information or relevant footage is encouraged to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on (0151) 777 5747 or email [email protected]. Alternatively, witnesses can reach out via @MerPolCC on X (formerly Twitter) or ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’ on Facebook, quoting reference 349 of 7 September.
