Police Hunt Dangerous 70-Year-Old Richard Scatchard on the Run

Police have issued a fresh warning about Richard Scatchard, a 70-year-old now considered a danger to the public. The manhunt has intensified after new information revealed he could pose a threat, especially to women he forms relationships with.

Warning Issued as Police Seek Public Help

Detective Chief Inspector Jess Aston said: “While we remain concerned for Richard’s welfare, we are now more concerned about the danger he may pose to other people, specifically women he forms relationships with.”

Scatchard is wanted on a recall to prison following ongoing enquiries. The last confirmed sighting was at a shop in Watchet on Sunday. Police also received an unconfirmed report of him in Minehead at around 10am on Monday 16 October.
