Royal Navy Bomb Disposal team called to remove World War Two Bomb in Warash

A coastguard search and rescue from Hillhead and a Royal Navy Bomb Disposal team from Portsmouth were called to Chilling Sub station in Warsash on Wednesday evening. The emergency services were called to an unexploded World war two piece of Ordnance that was found on the shore near to the sub station. This was removed and made safe. The UK Coastguard would like to remind the public if you find anything unusual on the coast dial 999 for the Coastguard.
