Teenagers across Swale are receiving vital safety advice and guidance as part of a roadshow visiting local schools. The partnership event, which runs from Monday, 7 October, until Friday, 18 October, addresses crucial topics including health and social care, drug and alcohol misuse, antisocial behaviour, exploitation, and knife crime.
Swale Police Sergeant Carli Deacon commented on the significance of the initiative:
By the end of the week, we will have visited seven different schools across Swale and spoken to around 1,000 Year Nine students. The aim of the roadshow is for police and partners to advise on real-life situations, which should enable young people to make better and more informed choices to keep themselves and their peers safe, alongside understanding the consequences of making poor decisions.

Sergeant Deacon added that the roadshow hopes to empower students with the confidence to say no to harmful situations and seek help from trusted adults or organizations when needed.

The initiative marks an important step in equipping local teenagers with the knowledge and resources to navigate complex social challenges and avoid risky behaviours.
