A Salisbury man has gone on trial this week, accused of multiple serious offences, including rape and assault.
Scott McKenzie Denies Serious Charges
Scott McKenzie, once of Gainsborough Close, pleaded not guilty to all claims at Winchester Crown Court back in September 2025. The trial opened on Monday, April 20, and is set to last around four weeks.
Two Separate Alleged Attacks
McKenzie is charged with raping and assaulting a woman on Catherine Street in Salisbury in December 2020. He’s also accused of a similar crime in Prague, Czech Republic, in May 2023.
Case Under Close Watch
The trial has drawn significant attention due to the international nature of the accusations and the severity of the charges. Wiltshire Police are closely monitoring proceedings.
