The woman’s body was found on Wednesday, sparking an intensive hunt for the missing man. On Friday, Spain’s Civil Guard confirmed his body had been discovered in the same treacherous area.

The Torrent de Pareis canyon, famous for its steep cliffs and hidden beach, is notorious for flash floods, especially from autumn to spring. Heavy rain and storms hammered the Balearic Islands earlier this week, causing widespread flooding and severe weather warnings.
