Mohammed Alazawi Faces Three Terrorism Counts
A 35-year-old Sussex man has been charged with terrorism offences, police have confirmed. Mohammed Abdulkalik Fadil Alazawi, from Bedford Grove, Eastbourne, was hit with three counts of encouraging terrorists to commit or prepare attacks.
Counter Terrorism Policing South East Leads Investigation
The charges come out of a sweeping inquiry by Counter Terrorism Policing South East. Alazawi was formally charged on Saturday, 7 March, under Section 1 of the Terrorism Act 2006.
Remanded in Custody Ahead of Court Appearance
Alazawi remains in custody and is set to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 9 March, to face the allegations.
