Hit-and-Run on A40: Teenager Struck While Crossing Road

Thames Valley Police are hunting a hit-and-run driver after a 15-year-old boy was knocked down on the A40 near Eynsham.

The incident happened around 3.15pm last Wednesday (10/7) when the boy fell into the road and was struck by a light blue car, possibly a Ford, speeding past. The driver sped off without stopping.

Luckily, the teenager only suffered minor injuries and has since been discharged from hospital.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

PC David Burleigh of the Roads Policing Unit appealed: “Thankfully, the boy’s injuries are minor. But the driver who hit him must do the right thing and get in touch.”

He urged anyone who saw the crash or has dash-cam footage to contact Thames Valley Police on 101, quoting reference 43240327069.
