The Campaign To Target Speeding Drivers Who Endanger Other Road Users Is Continuing In The Rural Areas Of #maidstone

On Wednesday 27 April 2022, some of our officers from the town’s Community Safety Unit returned to #Headcorn at the request of residents to complete checks on motorists. The speed of cars travelling in Mill Bank was measured and thirteen drivers were reported for driving in excess of the 40mph speed limit. Several others received advice about the manner of their driving. Inspector Steve Kent said: ‘Following complaints from local people, we have returned to the village to remind drivers they have a responsibility to drive safely and within the speed limit. ‘This enforcement will be repeated at different locations and should send a clear message that speeding and driving dangerously will not be tolerated.’
