In a tragic incident on Wednesday evening, Garry Thomson, a 60-year-old resident of Guardbridge, lost his life at a residence in the Gairbrig Crescent area. Mr. Thomson’s family has been notified, and the community mourns the loss of one of its own.
Law enforcement swiftly responded to a report received around 7pm on October 18, 2023. A 57-year-old man has been taken into custody and charged in connection with Mr. Thomson’s death. The suspect is set to appear before Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday, October 23, 2023, as investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident continue.
Detective Sergeant Kevin Petrie expressed condolences, stating, “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Mr. Thomson at this difficult time, and we ask that their privacy is respected.”
