A motorcyclist in his 60s has died after a brutal collision with a Citroen van on the A342 Monument Hill near Devizes this morning.

Wiltshire Police were called to the scene around 10:10 AM following reports of the smash. The victim, from Melksham, was sadly pronounced dead at the spot. The driver of the Citroen van escaped injury. A large stretch of the A342 between Upavon and Monument was shut to clear wreckage and carry out investigations.
