Two arrested in Birmingham house fire in Kings Norton

West Midlands Police have arrested two people following a house fire at an address in #Birmingham yesterday (25 May).

We were called by the fire service just after 4.30pm to an address on Wharf Road #KingsNorton to a house fire where two children were inside.

A three-year-old and five-year-old child were rescued from the house and taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

A 32-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of child neglect. They are currently in custody an will be questioned by officers.

Forensics teams will be at the house today to establish a cause for the fire.
