Blaze Tears Through Ladbroke Grove Flats – Firefighters Battle Intense Inferno
Fire Rips Through Four-Storey Building
Chaos erupted as a fierce fire tore through a four-storey terraced house converted into flats on Chesterton Road, Ladbroke Grove. The blaze badly damaged half of the lower ground floor and part of the ground floor, sending shockwaves through the community.
Firefighters Race to the Scene
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters sprang into action after the Brigade received calls at 10.25pm. Fire crews from North Kensington, Kensington, and Paddington fire stations battled the intense flames, bringing the fire under control by 11.45pm.
Emergency Response and Ongoing Investigation
Two residents, one man and one woman, escaped the inferno before firefighters arrived but were rushed to hospital by London Ambulance Service. Sub Officer Ian Griffiths praised the crews’ efforts, saying: “Crews were faced with an intense fire on arrival and worked hard to bring the blaze under control and stop it spreading throughout the building.”
The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers received eight separate calls reporting the blaze. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the London Fire Brigade and Metropolitan Police.
