A drug dealer has been locked up for over four years after police caught him in the act on London Road, Derby.
Police Spot Suspicious Deal in Progress
On 20 January, officers from Derby’s specialist Project Flex unit were patrolling when they noticed a blue Volkswagen Golf linked to drug crime. A woman approached the car, sparking suspicion of a drug deal. Officers swiftly intervened and arrested the man inside.
Major Haul Found on Dealer
33-year-old Kern Mosley was searched. Police seized mamba, crack cocaine, heroin, nearly £1,000 cash, a cannabis grinder, scales, and two mobile phones.
Damning Evidence Ties Mosley to Wider Drug Network
Mosley’s phones linked him to a 2025 drug bust where another dealer was caught with a stash of heroin, crack cocaine, and a phone showing chats with an associate named “Kernal” — a known alias for Mosley himself.
After pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply diamorphine, heroin, crack cocaine, and involvement in crack cocaine supply, Mosley was sentenced to four years and six months behind bars.
The Derby local previously served jail time for drug dealing and for threatening the public with a stun gun in 2021.
