A medical emergency at Charter Primary School in Chippenham sent one casualty rushing to hospital this morning.

Air Ambulance Touches Down at Bolts Croft

Paramedics were scrambled to the Wood Lane school just before 9am on Wednesday. The Great Western Air Ambulance Charity’s helicopter landed nearby at Bolts Croft around 10.20am to back up local crews.

Multiple Ambulances at the Scene

South Western Ambulance Service confirmed the presence of two double-crewed ambulances alongside the air ambulance. One patient was rushed to the Royal United Hospital in Bath for urgent treatment.

School Stays Open Amid Incident

It’s unclear whether the patient was a pupil or adult. Despite the emergency, the school day continued with minimal disruption. Charter Primary School has yet to release an official statement about the incident.
