Wiltshire Police have launched an urgent manhunt for a white Dacia Jogger involved in a shocking incident that left a police officer injured.
Cop Injured After Driver Rams Officer and Flees
The drama unfolded around 11:30pm on Saturday, June 1, in Conscience Lane, Devizes. A police officer spotted the vehicle – a white Dacia Jogger Expression, registration WU73MXL – and stopped his own car to approach the occupants.
Instead of cooperating, the driver sped off and deliberately collided with the officer. The officer suffered injuries but has since been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home.
Man Arrested; Search for White Dacia Continues
Following extensive investigations, police arrested a man in his 30s from Twerton, Bath, on suspicion of attempted murder. However, the mysterious Dacia remains at large.
