Man Found Dead on Mansfield Street in Early Hours
Tragedy struck Church Street, Mansfield, just before 3.30 a.m. on Friday when a man in his 30s was found collapsed in the street. Despite rushed efforts, he later died in hospital.
Police Seek Taxi Drivers and Witnesses
Nottinghamshire Police do not suspect foul play but want to speak to anyone who saw the man shortly before he collapsed. They are especially keen to trace two taxi drivers who may have encountered him.
What the Police Say
“We are working to understand the full circumstances of this very sad incident and would like to speak to anyone who saw this man in the moments before this incident,” said Detective Sergeant Matt Scott of Nottinghamshire Police.
“While we do not suspect his death, we are eager to learn as much as we can about this man’s movements prior to his collapse.”

The man was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a black jacket. Anyone with information is urged to call 101 and quote incident 55 of January 13, 2023.
