Predator Michael Frost Snared with Over 1,000 Child Abuse Images
Frost Caught Despite Heavy Police Surveillance
Michael Frost was already under a Sexual Offences Prevention Order, with Kent Police’s Violent and Sex Offender Register (ViSOR) Team keeping a close eye on him. But even that wasn’t enough to stop him. Officers grew suspicious during routine checks that Frost was viewing indecent material online. They swooped on his Minster-on-Sea home and detained him.
Shock Find: Over 1,000 Indecent Images Found
On seizing Frost’s devices, police uncovered 1,048 indecent images of children. The 57-year-old tried to deny three counts of making indecent photographs of a child. But a trial at Maidstone Crown Court ended in a guilty verdict.
Jail Sentence and Police Praise for Tough Action
Frost was sentenced on Friday 5 November 2021. Detective Sergeant Vicky Whitmill from Kent Police praised her team’s vigilance:
“Our ViSOR officers work tirelessly across the county, keeping dangerous individuals under close watch. Our priority is to prevent offences, support victims, and take strong action against offenders.”
“When we uncovered Frost’s illegal activity, we acted fast to detain him. A meticulous investigation led to his charges and conviction. The investigating officer’s dedication exposed a remorseless man obsessed with accessing child abuse images.”
“This case sends a clear message: we will use every power available to protect the public and punish those who cause harm.”
