Major Police Incident in Kent Causes Disruption Near Great Lines and Marlborough Road in Medway

Kent Police was called at 5.45am on Thursday 18 July 2024 after a woman in her 20s disclosed that she had been raped by a man in the Marlborough Road area of the town.

As part of enquiries officers arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with the incident. He remains in custody.

Police are keen to talk to anyone who was in the area between midnight and 6am on Thursday 18 July.

Anyone with dashcam footage and residents with private CCTV or doorbell footage, who have not yet spoken to officers are urged to get in touch.
