A 24-year-old man from Wolverhampton has been locked up for trying to meet 12-year-old girls for sex. Aaron Kainth, of Rooker Crescent, sent messages in April last year to what he thought were young girls, arranging illegal meetings.

Police Sting Brings Predator Down

Kainth was caught thanks to a sting operation by the West Midlands Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCU) and West Midlands Police. They stepped in before any harm could occur, arresting him and pressing multiple charges.

Guilty Plea and Harsh Sentence

At Wolverhampton Crown Court on Monday, 9 March, Kainth admitted guilt to several offences, including:

  • Arranging or facilitating a child sex offence
  • Attempting to cause a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity
  • Trying to get a child under 13 to view sexual images
  • Two counts of attempting sexual communication with a child

He was sentenced to seven years and two months behind bars. Kainth will also remain on the sex offenders’ register for life.
