USAR team called to rescue man from Scaffolding in Cosham

The Hampshire Fire and Rescue Urban search and rescue team based at its new location in Eastliegh was called into action on Saturday afternoon after a worker on a building injured himself on the top of scaffolding. Crews were mobilised just after 3pm on Saturday to the Building site in Cosham supported by fire crews from Cosham and Fareham. A pulley rope system was set up to Rescue the injured worker. A Hart team from South Central ambulance service also attend and Stablished the man before his removal. The worker was than moved in a basket stretcher from the top of the structure back down to ground level. The man was taken to QA hospital in Portsmouth to be treated for his injures.
