A teenager who was in with the wrong crowd and had police officers knocking on his door has been recognised with an award after completely turning his life around

Realising he could end up in prison, Jahlil Kumar overhauled his life after a knock on his front door by Nottinghamshire Police’s criminal investigation department made him re-evaluate his life.

The 15-year-old – threatened with losing his freedom, friends, and family – turned his life around and with the help of a child youth support worker is now on the right side of the law and reaping the benefits of setting up his own business.
