Channel 4 has greenlit a second season of the hit show “Millionaire Hoarders,” produced by Manchester-based Purple Productions. The 8-episode series will feature experts from the worlds of antiques, collectables, interiors, and fashion as they delve into the UK’s hidden treasures.

Channel 4 Orders Second Series of “Millionaire Hoarders”

The first three-part series, which aired in August, captivated audiences with the discovery of a rare painting potentially worth over a million pounds. Now, the show returns to shine a spotlight on unique owners, extraordinary houses, and their amassed collections. But it’s not just about the items themselves; “Millionaire Hoarders” will also reveal the captivating stories behind these hidden gems.

Unlocking Hidden Wealth

As the experts explore the social history of these objects, they’ll assess their potential worth. Could these attic heirlooms hold the key to a life-changing cash injection? In times when every penny counts, the show aims to help passionate collectors free up money by securing the best possible prices for their clients.

Professional fortune finders will use their knowledge, expertise, and extensive contacts to research and sell items on behalf of their clients. Sometimes, this involves restoration work, but the ultimate goal is to unlock the agreed-upon value.

A Peek into Extraordinary Homes

Pam Cavannagh, Joint Creative Director of Purple Productions, expressed excitement about unearthing items rich in both story and value. Simon Lee, Commissioning Executive for Channel 4 Documentaries and Factual Entertainment, praised the first series for its unique insight into the world of antiques and collectables. He eagerly anticipates glimpsing the potentially valuable pieces hidden within extraordinary homes.

“Millionaire Hoarders” was commissioned by Simon Lee and developed by Hannah Brownhill. Zoe Thorman serves as the Series Editor, while Pam Cavannagh and Dympna Jackson executive produce for Purple Productions, part of Objective Media Group (an All3Media company). The series will be distributed internationally by All3Media.
