This morning, an unexploded ordnance discovery at Ashdown House on Sedlescombe Road North in St Leonards prompted an urgent response from local authorities. The ordnance was reported at approximately 9:30 AM, leading to immediate evacuations of nearby homes and businesses as a safety precaution.

A cordon was established around the area while specialists from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team were summoned to handle the situation. After a thorough assessment and careful removal of the ordnance, the team successfully neutralised the potential threat.
