A courageous young social worker, who played a vital role in bringing a grooming gang to justice, has tragically died in a horrific car crash involving a souped-up BMW.

Tragic Crash on Nottinghamshire Roads

Sarah Fensom, 33, suffered severe neck and spine injuries after a modified BMW lost control while attempting to overtake a queue of cars on the A614 in Farnsfield, Nottinghamshire on September 12, 2023. Her Audi flipped onto its roof during the smash.
Horsley was sentenced to 15 months in jail and banned from driving for three years.

Community Mourns ‘Amazing’ Woman

Witnesses described the BMW as “snaking” between lanes before crashing head-on into Sarah’s Audi. Though Sarah was initially conscious after the crash, bystanders were unable to save her from the overturned vehicle.

Sarah’s family and friends remember her as a committed social worker who made a real difference, helping to put dangerous criminals behind bars and protecting vulnerable lives.

This heartbreaking loss highlights how a split-second decision on the road can destroy lives.
