Fire crews from across the Isle of Wight have rushed to tackle a blazing hay fire at a farm in East Cowes.
Third Alarm as Hay Bales Go Up in Flames
Teams from Newport and water carriers from Ventnor were scrambled for the third time to douse towering bales of hay well alight on Folly Lane. The emergency call came just before 1pm on Monday.
Firefighters Battle 10m by 10m Inferno
Firefighters are using hose reels to contain a roughly 10m by 10m fire zone. This incident follows a gruelling overnight battle with 30 burning hay bales at the same farm.
“The cause of the fire is still under investigation,” fire officials confirmed.
