Fatal Crash Shuts A337 Near Brockenhurst Campsite

A deadly collision involving an HGV and a car has forced police to shut the busy A337 near Hollands Wood campsite and New Park in Brockenhurst.

Emergency Crews Rush to Scene

The crash happened just after 5pm on Wednesday. Firefighters from three stations scrambled to the scene, including two crews from Lymington, one from Lyndhurst, and a Redbridge Rescue tender.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said: “We’re currently dealing with a collision involving a car and a lorry on the A337 at Brockenhurst. A closure is currently in place while emergency services work at the scene. The incident is ongoing.”

Tragic Fatality & Road Closures

Sadly, police confirmed the crash resulted in a fatality. The collision occurred on a notorious accident black spot along the straight stretch of the road.

Local diversions are now in place while investigators carry out collision inquiries. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and follow diversion signs.
