Wokingham Horror: Girl, 17, Sexually Assaulted in Broad Daylight
Police are urgently hunting two men who dragged a 17-year-old girl into Denton Road, Wokingham, and sexually assaulted her. The attack happened around 4pm last Wednesday (June 5) as the victim crossed Easthampstead Road near Denton Road junction.
Good Samaritan Shouts Off Attackers
The pair grabbed the girl and pulled her off the street. At that moment, a woman driving past in a red vehicle shouted at the attackers, forcing them to flee towards Sturgess Road.
Descriptions Released – Public’s Help Needed
Detective Constable Paul Bentley said:
“Firstly, I want to appeal to anyone who knows these men or recognises their descriptions. The victim fought back during the attack, so the offenders may have scratches on their hands.
The suspects are described as:
- First man: Black, mid-40s, around 5ft 8in, medium build, short black hair. Wearing black tracksuit top, bottoms, and footwear. Possibly followed victim from Reading Road through town centre.
- Second man: Black, mid-40s, about 5ft 9in, muscular build, black and grey beard. Wearing black tracksuit top, bottoms, black footwear, and a black hat.
Detective Bentley added: “I also want to speak to the Good Samaritan who drove the red car and scared the attackers off.”
Witnesses Urgently Needed
If you saw or heard anything near Denton Road around 4pm last Wednesday, police want to hear from you immediately.
