Man Brutally Assaulted and Robbed in Basingstoke

Police want your help after a 30-year-old man was seriously attacked and robbed in Basingstoke during the early hours of Tuesday, February 23. The victim was talking to a group outside the Londis store near Crown Heights just before midnight on Monday, February 22.

Followed Home and Knocked Out Cold

After leaving the group, the man walked home but was followed. The attack happened on the footpath between Phoenix Park Terrace and Shooters Way, where he was knocked unconscious.

When he came to, his wallet stuffed with £100 cash, a tablet, jacket, and watch were gone. He also suffered scratches and bruising in the ordeal.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Officers describe the suspects as:

  • A white woman, about 20, short blonde hair, wearing a white tracksuit.
  • A white man in his early 20s, dressed in a dark hat, dark jumper, and grey tracksuit bottoms.
  • A skinny white man in his early 30s, with noticeable teeth, wearing a dark winter hat and hood.

Detective Constable Jo Blanchard warned: “This is an unusual incident but we would like to remind people to take care when walking in isolated areas late at night.”
