Murder Probe Launched After Man Found Stabbed in Bournemouth
Detectives have opened a murder investigation after a man was found fatally stabbed in Bournemouth. Dorset Police were alerted at 5.49pm on Tuesday 30 June 2020 when ambulance crews discovered the 31-year-old victim in Boscombe Chine Gardens.
Despite paramedics’ efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed and is receiving support from officers.
Two Arrests Made in Connection With Fatal Stabbing
Following an extensive search, police arrested a 37-year-old Bournemouth man near East Overcliff Drive on suspicion of murder. He is currently assisting with the investigation.
In a related development, a 33-year-old man from Bournemouth was also arrested on suspicion of murder after being found injured with a neck wound in the Windsor Road area. He was taken to hospital, but his injuries are not life-threatening.
Woman Arrested for Assisting Offender
Police also arrested a 28-year-old Bournemouth woman on suspicion of assisting an offender. She is cooperating with the inquiry.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Detective Chief Inspector Andy Dilworth said: “We are carrying out a detailed investigation to establish the full circumstances of what happened. “I would urge anyone with information that could assist this investigation, or who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the incident, to please come forward.”
A police cordon remains in place at Boscombe Chine Gardens, and officers are maintaining a strong presence in the area as the investigation continues.
