Tragic Death as Woman and Lorry Collide in Grantham
A 19-year-old woman has died following a serious crash involving a heavy goods vehicle on Dysart Road, Grantham, this Tuesday afternoon.
Fatal Collision on Busy Road
Police were called at around 4pm after a red DAF HGV and a woman with a blue Apollo mountain bike collided. Both were travelling in the same direction near the retail shopping centre.
The woman sadly died at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
The Serious Collision Investigation Unit is still at the scene. Officers expect Dysart Road to remain closed until about 10pm.
Police want to hear from anyone who saw the woman riding or pushing the bike, or the red DAF lorry turning left into a business premises.
