Police Hunt Crooks in BMW After Rolex Heist in Liphook
Police are on the lookout for a dark, old-style BMW 5 Series with left-hand drive and a Polish number plate, possibly starting with FZE or PZE. The car is linked to a brazen robbery in Liphook where a 68-year-old man had his valuable Rolex watch snatched.
Watch Snatchers Targeting Elderly Men
The Liphook incident matches two other heists from July in Ringwood and Emsworth, where men were approached by women and had pricey Rolex watches ripped from their wrists. Officers want anyone who spotted the BMW or has dash-cam footage from October 20 to step forward.
How the Liphook Theft Went Down
At around 2pm, the 68-year-old victim was dropping off dry cleaning on Station Road when a woman aged 17 to 25 approached him. She struck up a chat before a struggle erupted – she repeatedly touched his chest and arms. After she walked off, the man noticed his Rolex Submariner was gone.
The stolen watch is steel and gold with a royal blue face and white-and-gold hands.
