Teen Stabbed to Death in Walthamstow: Police Hunt for Killer
Bubacar Jabbie Dukureh, 17, tragically died after a stabbing in Walthamstow last Friday. Known to his family simply as Bubacar Jabbie, the teen was found with fatal chest wounds on Westbury Road at 9.20pm, October 23.
Despite rushed efforts by paramedics, Bubacar was pronounced dead at the scene. His family is now being supported by specially trained officers as the investigation into his murder intensifies.
Met Police Launch Homicide Investigation
The Met’s Specialist Crime Command (Homicide) is leading the probe. A post-mortem at Walthamstow Mortuary confirmed the cause of death as a stab wound to the chest.
No arrests have been made so far. Detective Inspector Joanna Yorke said: “Our enquiries continue at pace following the senseless and violent death of another teenager on the streets of London. We are keeping an open mind on the motive.”
Yorke urged witnesses: “If you saw or heard anything suspicious or were in the area at the time, no matter how insignificant it might seem, please contact us or call Crimestoppers anonymously.”
Police Boost Patrols to Hunt Killer
The Met’s North East Basic Command Unit has upped patrols in E17 to reassure the community and encourage tip-offs.
Detective Superintendent Paul Whiteman added: “The loss of yet another teenage life to knife crime is a tragedy. Our team is working relentlessly to find answers for Bubacar’s family.
The Met is committed to listening to communities and acting on their concerns. Violence suppression remains our priority.”
