Elderly Woman Killed in Horrific Dog Attack in Rowley Regis
A woman in her 80s has died after being attacked by two escaped dogs in Rowley Regis this afternoon.
Tragic Scene in Boundary Avenue Garden
Police were called to a rear garden on Boundary Avenue at around 3.20pm, where the elderly woman was found with severe bite injuries. Despite emergency crews’ best efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Man Arrested Over Dogs’ Deadly Rampage
It’s believed two dogs, not belonging to the victim, broke into her garden and attacked her. A 43-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of having a dog dangerously out of control causing death. He remains in custody for questioning.
Investigation Underway as Police Seize Dogs
Both dogs have been seized and are undergoing tests to identify their breed. Police have set up a scene in the area as they probe the chilling circumstances surrounding the attack.
“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman at this deeply distressing time,” a police spokesperson said.
