BMW Mows Down Pedestrians at Hastings Bus Stop

Chaos hit Queens Road, Hastings just after 1am on Saturday, July 24, when a BMW careered off the road and smashed into two unsuspecting pedestrians waiting at a bus stop.

Serious Leg Injury and Minor Wounds

A man and woman were struck by the speeding vehicle. The man suffered a serious leg injury, while the woman escaped with minor wounds. Both were rushed to Conquest Hospital for treatment.

Driver Arrested Over Dangerous, Drunk Driving

The 33-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving causing serious injury and driving over the alcohol limit. Although released under investigation, police say the inquiry is far from over.

Police Hunt Witnesses and Dashcam Footage

PC Stuart Kenway pleaded: “We want anyone who saw the BMW before or during the crash to come forward.” Authorities are especially keen to track down dashcam or CCTV footage.
