Riccardo Holness Dies Following Savage Attack
Riccardo Holness, 42, suffered serious head injuries in a vicious assault on Beckenham High Street at 1.22am on Sunday, 17 October. He was rushed to hospital in critical condition but tragically died almost a month later, on Friday, 12 November.
Post-Mortem Confirms Blunt Force Trauma
A post-mortem carried out on Wednesday, 17 November revealed the cause of death as blunt force trauma to the head. Police arrested a 26-year-old man on Monday, 18 October on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH). The suspect has since been bailed while investigations continue.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Inspector Blair from Specialist Crime said: “Our thoughts remain with Riccardo’s family who are understandably distraught at what has happened. We are working hard to establish the facts of the incident and would ask anyone who witnessed the assault or who has any information to contact us as soon as possible.”
