Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service received the call shortly after 12.15pm on Friday 18th March 2022 to reports of a fire that had broken out at a block of flats on Goldsmith Avenue, Portsmouth. Appliances from Southsea, Portchester and a specialist ALP were in attendance. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire on the top floor flat using a fire extinguisher, PPV was used to clear smoke from the property and is understood to be no casualties. A full fire investigation is now underway.
