Five nabbed in Official Secrets Act probe – three charged with dodgy ID documents
Met Police swoop in secretive counter-terror crackdown
The Metropolitan Police have arrested five suspects under the Official Secrets Act. Three of them now face charges for possessing false ID with improper intent, police confirmed. The arrests happened back in February, led by the Met’s counter-terrorism unit.
Who’s caught in the dragnet?
- A 45-year-old man from Norfolk
- A 42-year-old man from west London
- A 32-year-old woman from central London
- A 31-year-old man from west London
- A 29-year-old woman from north London
Charged and due in court
The trio slapped with charges under Section 4 of the Identity Documents Act 2010 are:
- Orlin Roussev, 45, of Princes Road, Great Yarmouth
- Biser Dzambazov, 42, of High Road, Harrow
- Katrin Ivanova, 31, of High Road, Harrow
They appeared at the Old Bailey on 31 July. All five suspects have been released on police bail but must return for court hearings in September 2023.
