Dawn Raids Nab Five in Fat Cat Bar Violence
Nottinghamshire Police swooped on Leicestershire addresses last month, arresting four men after violent disorder outside the Fat Cat bar in Nottingham’s Chapel Bar. The chaos erupted shortly after 1.45pm on 6 February 2022, just before the Nottingham Forest vs Leicester City FA Cup clash at the City Ground.
Leicester Fans Launch Chairs in Shocking Attack
Police rushed to the scene after reports that a group of Leicester City supporters hurled chairs and a table through bar windows, sparking public fear and property damage. Intense investigations followed, including digging through CCTV and social media, resulting in multiple warrants and arrests. A fifth suspect was arrested weeks later on 14 March.

Police Vow to Clamp Down on Violence
“While most fans were well behaved, a small number caused harm. This will not be tolerated,” said Detective Sergeant Jon Kerry. “Charging five people follows tough work by multiple teams analysing hours of footage. Our investigation continues and we urge anyone involved to hand themselves in.”
Witnesses or anyone with CCTV, mobile, or dash-cam footage are urged to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident 182 of 6 February 2022, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
