Fire Breaks Out on 13th Floor Flat in Manor Park Tower

London Fire Brigade rushed to a blaze on Grantham Road, Manor Park, after reports of smoke and flames in a high-rise flat.

Sixty Evacuate Before Firefighters Arrive

An LFB spokesperson revealed part of a 13th-floor flat in a 15-storey block was ablaze. Around 60 residents escaped the building ahead of the Brigade’s arrival.

Massive Response from Multiple Fire Stations

The Brigade was called at 2.47pm. Firefighters from Ilford, Stratford, Leytonstone, Plaistow, Dagenham, and other nearby stations joined the urgent operation. So far, LFB’s 999 Control Officers have handled over 40 calls about the fire. The cause remains unknown.

This blaze marks LFB’s third significant emergency of the day. Earlier, they tackled fires at a pub in Richmond and another high-rise block in Hammersmith and Fulham.
