Five Arrested After 19-Year-Old Fatally Stabbed in Southampton

Five men have been arrested following the tragic death of a 19-year-old in Southampton yesterday.

Deadly Attack in Broad Daylight

At 12:21pm on 24 July, police rushed to Langhorn Road after reports of a serious assault. The victim suffered a fatal chest puncture wound and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The victim’s family has been informed and is receiving specialist support.

Suspects in Custody

  • A 46-year-old man from Bursledon, arrested for murder and assisting an offender
  • Two 20-year-old men from Bursledon and Hamble, both held on suspicion of murder
  • A 23-year-old Eastleigh man, arrested on suspicion of murder
  • A 35-year-old man from Lambeth, also in custody on suspicion of murder

All remain in police custody as investigations continue.

Police Hunt for Witnesses

Detective Chief Inspector Danielle Daltrey said: “We take all serious violence in Southampton extremely seriously. Our thoughts are with the family of the deceased during this difficult time.”

She added the investigation is ongoing, but police do not believe there is any wider risk to the public.

Officers are conducting searches at addresses on Le Marechal Avenue, Southampton, and Westfield Road, Hamble. A police scene is still in place on Langhorn Road, with patrols offering reassurance to locals.

Police urge anyone who saw the attack or noticed suspicious activity to come forward. They are keen to access dash cam, CCTV, doorbell, or mobile footage related to the incident.
