Car Seized in Ashley Dale Murder Probe
Detectives investigating the brutal murder of Ashley Dale in Old Swan have seized a grey Hyundai i30. The vehicle was a key part of the ongoing inquiry since the killing in August 2022. It is now in police hands undergoing forensic examination.
Tragic Shooting on Leinster Road
Officers were called to an address on Leinster Road around 12:40pm on Sunday 21 August after concerns were raised for a woman’s welfare. Emergency services found Ashley in the rear garden with a gunshot wound. She was rushed to hospital but sadly died shortly after.
Detectives Urge Locals to Come Forward
Detective Chief Inspector Cath Cummings appealed for witnesses. She said: “We believe this car was driven around Dovecot and Page Moss on the night of Ashley’s murder, including Pilch Lane. I want to hear from anyone who saw the car’s movements, who was driving it, or who saw someone being picked up.
“If you have CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage, please share it. Any information could be vital in bringing those responsible to justice.”
