Masked Chase Sparks Chaos at Padiham Tesco

Police were scrambled to Padiham Tesco on Wyre Street at 8.08pm on November 3 after reports of a public order incident. Witnesses saw two cars pull up in the car park before two men, wearing face coverings and carrying bats, chased a man into the store.

No Violence Inside Store, Arrest Made

Thankfully, no physical fights broke out inside Tesco. A 21-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking and is currently in police custody.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and Footage

Detective Inspector Mark Saunders of Burnley CID reassured the public: “This took place in full view of shoppers who were understandably alarmed. Our investigation is ongoing, but this is an isolated incident involving people known to each other.”

He added, “We’ve made an arrest, but want to hear from anyone with CCTV, dashcam, or mobile footage that could help.”
